I’m off for a weekend of cooking and strolling the botanical gardens with S, one of our yearly traditions.
In my earbuds today (a goofy version):
Make it a good one!
One of my goals of 2013 was to take more videos. Well, a year has gone by, and I’m happy to say I collected quite a few. For S’s birthday in December, I presented him with a little flick I edited together of our adventures throughout the year.
Every clip was filmed on the 8mm App on my iPhone, and then edited together and put to music by me.
Tonight, I’m super stoked to go see The Oh Hellos at City Winery with S and my roommate, C. They’re an awesome little guy-girl duo with an addicting vibe, and they’re a little sentimental to me, too. Check ’em out while you scroll the post:
Tomorrow, I’m meeting one of my favorite NYC girlfriends, B (go get addicted to her blog Quelle Rigolade) for brunch at Dinner on Ludlow (Thanks for the voucher, S!) Then, we’re romping around the city on a little photo adventure, hopefully securing her a new camera in the process. I think I’ll throw on something light and airy, like this, to survive the heat. Snapshots of our day will surely make an appearance in the near future.
What are you up to this weekend?
Do you have a few days off for Independence Day? I do, and man, am I looking forward to the long weekend. Until then, here are some fun things to read/stare at/listen to/browse to get you through the next few days.
To me, there’s no such thing as too much good music. This morning, I’m entranced by the emerging UK singer/songwriter Gabrielle Aplin. She has amazing style, and her songs really hit Home. Don’t miss The Power of Love.
Traveler of the Year.
Super cool beach paintings.
A pretty great guy.
A transformed space.
Love this little poem.
S and I made these on Saturday – YUM.
Some 4th of July recipes.
And I think I’ll make these for our rooftop gathering:
Image by Stanley Wong on our office rooftop last year. In three years of living in NYC, I have yet to experience the fireworks live. Can’t wait!
What are you doing for the 4th?
